Luigi and the Forest Ruins Rebooted is a ROM hack made by Mariocrash and TheGael95. It is a complete overhaul of Luigi and the Forest Ruins 64, a hack made by TheGael95, with all new level designs, stars and overworld. It is shorter than the original, with 40 stars instead of 50, and uses a regular model of Mario in green clothes and a "L" on his hat, instead of the lanky Luigi model from Luigi's Mansion 64.
There are 40 stars, 6 in each of the 6 main levels, 3 in secret levels, and 1 in the ending sequence after beating Bowser, which ends the game when collected. There are no 100-coin stars in this game.
All three cap switches are located in the Quiz Switch Palace, in the Underground Corridor.

Trivia
- Since collecting the 40th star ends the game, the most stars possible to have in a save file is 39.
